Are you exhausted all the time and not sure why? Are you frustrated and irritable as you go through your day? Are you thinking, “If only my co-workers, spouse, children would cooperate, THEN I would not be so annoyed and tired?” It is like you’re stuck on the “Not-Making-It–Roundabout” and can’t find the exit to the “Prosperity Road To Abundance” that you know is just around the bend.
It could be that you have the “One Foot on the Gas and One Foot on the Brake” Syndrome. You feel like you are mindlessly spinning in circles as you feel pulled in two directions. No wonder you are exhausted all the time. Feeling pulled in two directions is when we are out of integrity with ourselves.
In The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz’s code for life, the number one agreement instructs us to:
- Be impeccable with your word
- Speak with integrity
- Say only what you mean
- Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others
- Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love
Simply put: the key to success is to honor your commitment to yourself and others = Pedal to the metal on Prosperity Road.
When you don’t follow through on your commitment to yourself or another, what you agreed to do needles and nags at you, subtly draining your energy like a small leak in your gas tank until you are running on empty. Our subconscious has the brake to the floor while our conscious mind is doing all it can to move ahead with the gas pedal full throttle saying, “It doesn’t matter.” When you hear yourself say, “That it doesn’t matter.“ That “It” is you. In essence you are saying , “I don’t matter.” Your insides are going to be in turmoil and the foot firmly on the brake. You will spin one more time around the “Not-Making-It-Roundabout”.
Two Feet on the Brake
That is the time for both feet on the brake. Stopping to realign with yourself is crucial to business success. Take the time to stop and breathe. Allow your feelings to become available so you can know what your next best step to take is . Remember your feelings are just information there to guide you. In fact, that is how you will know that you are out of integrity. Frustration will let you know that you are pressing the gas and brake at the same time. Put both feet on the brake and breathe.
Pedal to the Metal
Being of integrity with yourself by being true to your word, means you are aligned with yourself. You will feel empowered and in charge of your life. Put that petal to the metal and go for it knowing you are honoring you! Honoring yourself can only take you in the direction of being true to yourself and that indeed is loving yourself. Increased profit is inevitable because you are fulfilling the law of success with the attraction factor in high gear.
Enjoy your drive down Prosperity Road.
