Creating Your Story for Presentations:
To develop your story and know who you are, ask yourself these questions and write down your answers.
Look for your Defining Moment in your career or life as you go through this process.
This moment will be the crux of your Story and provide others with the road to success.
What made you who you are today?
The information below is from notes I took at a seminar where Christy Dreiling interviewed someone as a way to tease out a gentleman’s story for his future presentations.
Where are you from?
Up bringing ?
What do/did your parents do ?
Who did you want to be like – mom or dad? Why?
What did Dad do?
How did that make you feel ?
What did Mom do?
How did that make you feel ?
Graduate high School?
What did you do after graduation?
What happened next?
Then what – ask questions What made you__________________(do whatever it is you chose)
How was money then?
What was your relationships like? Explain that? Married? Divorced? Children? Community?
What else was going on?
Any awards – outstanding moments?
Laid off ?
Big Event , life changing situation?
Health challenges for you or family member that influenced you?
List them and what you like best and why
